My future in Belfast (this is partly for Jules, I was gonna comment on your blog but was gonna do this too...so saved the bother. haha)

I'm for MET, hopefully.

Laura and I are looking for a house, at the minute we have decided to move in together, and Hannah will join us if she can't get her placement in a vet's for Greenmount, and Rachel might join us if she decides to go to MET afterall.

However, I've been told not to strike them out 'till the last minute, Rachel won't know until August, and Hannah won't know for a month or so...I think.
So if they don't work out, I possibly have 2 backups, but at that point we'll be going crazy looking for 2 roomies that have probably made arrangements already...

ANYWAYS, the reason I'm getting a house is cause I can't get halls, MET doesn't have them...plus I don't recon I'd want halls anyway;

I stayed for a night there, in Carlisle.

It was horrific.

The people were nice and all...but they are disgustingly dirty...not boys either. Girls. All girls.

Like, Rachel and I looked at each other, when we arrived (and our welcoming party had left) and said in sync, "this has put me off uni".

We couldn't sleep thinking of the mess...we actually cleaned the kitchen.
We arrived at 10:30pm, were shown aroud by Stevie (who I love! she's class!), got sorted for bed etc, which took us to about 12am...

At that point we had to clean...just the thought of the kitchen was preventing our sleep.
Not good when you have an audition/interview the next morning...anyways...

YES. We cleaned...and when I say "cleaned", I don't just mean  wiping dishes...

I mean, SCRUBBING;
dishes
counters
the bin
and especially the microwave...it took about half an hour alone.
EUGH

So...bad experience on that part...BUT, when it was clean, we felt so much better!
And there was only one girl in their halls that was a bitch... They all got on well, which is strange 'cause I don't recon I'd like to be thrown in with someone I don't know...still.
We got on well with them too actually, they were all really kind, and helpful for our audition (the majority of them did a musical theatre course in Carlisle), so at the same time, if I was eligable for halls, I would like it if I got people like them...

Anyways, enough arguing with myself....

This is my house. I WILL get this house.

Ok, so look at the pics...
The whole house, especially the interior, is perfect!

I mean, I can see myself living here. If I was to design my own apartment, it would be this.
The contrast with old and new.

OOH I LOVE IT

So if anything or anyone prevents me from getting this house. They WILL be annihilated.

Seriously. I am in love.

PLUS, I know it looks dear at £900.00pcm, but it isn't as dearas it seems.

It's a 4 bedroom house, meaning between 4, it will cost £2,700.00 per annum (a year),

Meaning that it will only cost me £56.80 a week. Not so dear now eh? Considering Queens' crap halls are like 85 quid a week. :)

So add £15-£20 for leccy and heat, and thats £70ish.

That's cheaper than most places to rent at home. (which is what I was for doing if I didn't go to study somewhere.)

Anyway, if my calculations are correct, which they're probably not, but assuming I get the loans and grants I think I'm eligable for, I can live on £86.60 a week. Minus the £15-£20 for leccy and that's still £60ish to live on.

I can do that...infact I'm rather excied 'cause it all seems to be working out ;)

The house is only a km away form Queens too, meaning that Laura can catch her bus to J/town easily.

However it is 4km away from the Titanic Quarter, where all of my chosen courses are. (I haven't decided on one yet...but I will come back to those in a min)

Also, Hannah's classes are all in TQ too...posing the problem of getting there...
But i suppose there are buses, and student bus passes, so not too much expense I hope.

Anyways...

My courses;

Fashion Management, leading on to a year in J/town. My reason for choosing this? It has been my life long dream to design and manage a clothing line, nothing big but I'm aiming to possibly owning a bridal shop, and offering wedding planning also, hence the reason I've also chosen.....>>>

Events Management, because I love organising events, and although I'm totally unorganised and late with everything I do in school, this is because I'm usually focused on something else. I can organise myself and achieve targets when it's not to do with school work.

I've also chosen

Hospitality and Tourism Management

and
Travel and Tourism Management

Because I quite fancy myself as a hotel manageress...plus both courses also offer events management within them, plus the extra stuff.

And finally, my backup courses:
Administration (business professional) because it would just be a useful backup course to have.
AND
Dental nursing LOL Yes I know it's random...but  it seems rather attractive for some reason. Also...good pay, KERCHING haha

Anyways, the first 4 are my definite favourites...obviously just to achieve what I want.
And I recon it's pretty obvious that I don't know what the flippers I'm for doing 2bh, so I decided to go for courses that require skills that I am capable of, and (without sounding bigheaded) good at. Because I know I am good at organising events, so I'm gonna base my future on this skill that I've been blessed with.

Although, you never know. God could turn my world up-side-down and throw me into law. haha
Or call rapture tomorrow? meh...lol

I dunno why, but myf uture doesn't bother me. I think it's cause I know there's a plan set out for me...and my life is under God's control

So yeah, that's me. Live in Belf for a year (possibly 3 if I do fashion management), attend MET, live off my loan/grant and achieve some sort of dream. :)

P.s. Jules, I don't think this has helped you at all coming to think of it...maybe the part where halls sucks? lol
Get a house! I'm wanting one so I can have house parties. That's the only reason.lol joke :)

Either way, good luck in you search. Everyone :) I hope you can get sorted :)

Also...I'm just realising that Jules mightn't even follow my blog...I shall check now...

No she doesn't lol I shall let her know on facebook...haha

P.p.s. Steal my house and I will  KILL you.

My new business

Ok so I know it may sound stupid, but Becka and I have decided to start a wee business for facepainting.

Yes yes, i know "who would want that?"

But we've painted at loads of public events before, and have even begun working at kids partied. 3 in total...so why not? A wee bit of extra pocket money, for no extra cost (except the paints).

I've created a blog for the business where people can see our work, and see our event history...just haven't started it properly yet...lol

anyways, this is our blog link...
